What does a chiropractic degree cover?
In order to receive the Doctorate of Chiropractic (DC), each candidate must complete four academic years of doctorate-level education. In the first two years, this education largely mirrors medical school; with classes covering anatomy, biochemistry, physiology, pathology, radiology and diagnosis. Chiropractors take more units in neurology and related clinical studies than general-practitioner MD’s. The chiropractic education diverges from the medical education as they study adjustive and manipulation techniques rather than pharmacology and surgery. In order to receive their degrees, Chiropractors must complete an internship and pass a series of four National Board Examinations prior to being licensed by the state. Doctors of Chiropractic are licensed to practice in all 50 states and make up the third-largest licensed health care provider group in the United States.

"I love my job, every day. My patients motivate me to learn more, to research their unique issues and find a way to get them back on the path to healing. Nothing makes my day more than helping someone find relief from their pain! We see patients walk, or crawl, into our office from injuries occurred during normal activities like moving heavy boxes, picking up their child, shoveling snow, lifting incorrectly at the gym or simply just sleeping wrong. They come to our office seeking help, which is a great privilege and responsibility, so I have come to see each case as a new challenge. I ask myself 'can I get them walking out of here feeling a true decrease in their discomfort?' In order to accomplish this goal, I have surrounded my clinic with every chiropractic device I can get ahold of including an e-stim machine, a cutting-edge cool light laser, graston scar removal tools, a full body massage chair, percussion instrument, physical therapy equipment and even a foot massager (available to every patient in the waiting room at no extra charge). I have also brought on an amazing support staff who run the front desk, organize events, run our website/social media, do massage therapy, acupuncture and more. My mom always told me, you're only as good as the people you surround yourself with and I feel lucky to have been blessed with such an amazing team! I see only growth in store over the years to come."
Elaine Faverey, DC
Dr. Elaine comes to us with more than six years experience as a Chiropractor, focusing primarily on Full Spine Method. Her diverse background began as an independent Chiropractor in Georgia and quickly moved overseas to Singapore, where she took on the brave new endeavor of building a clinic from the ground up. After years of hard work, her vision turned a dirt lot into a 3500 sf, fully staffed chiropractic office that saw more than 200 patients a day. Quite the accomplishment for a brand new Chiropractic graduate.
As much as she loved her practice in Singapore, Dr. Elaine decided it was time to come home to the states, so she and her fiance' (who is also a Chiropractor) packed their bags, hopped on a plane and landed here in Bend, Oregon.
New to our desert climate, Dr. Elaine has begun exploring the many wonders that Central Oregon has to offer, including hiking, visiting lakes and rivers, lifting weights, swimming, running, brunching and enjoying the new environment around her. At home, Dr. Elaine enjoys spending time with her fiance' and main coon kitten Loki, reading metaphysical books and watching comedies. Right now, Dr. Elaine's biggest goal is to run a marathon by 40 years old and completing a sprint triathlon.
You can say hello to Dr. Elaine during normal business hours when she is here assisting Dr. Natasha, or schedule an appointment during her exclusive Tuesday / Thursday work hours of 9:00am to 1:00pm. We look forward to having her here with us, helping to build an even more successful practice!
