Physical Therapy
At Dr. Natasha's Natural Chiropractic, we teach our patients how to perform special "posture and balance" exercises which can help improve posture and correct irregularities in their body which may be causing pain. All of these posture and balance exercises can actually be performed in the comfort of your own home to help improve the effectiveness of your chiropractic care and spinal correction plan. In addition to skeletal misalignment, you may be experiencing pain that is caused by muscles and connective tissues which are out of their proper place. Other types of pain such as back pain, neck pain, and headaches are caused by muscles and tissues that are being used improperly, causing injuries over time. In each case, targeted exercises and stretches from our experienced chiropractor will help you feel good while also helping your body achieve balance and health.

Dr. Natasha was trained with an extensive knowledge and background in therapeutic rehab. She has worked side by side with the crossfit community, college and professional athletes and our active Central Oregon community. Dr. Natasha is both FMT (fascial movement taping) certified through Rocktape, and M1 certified through Graston.

The Graston Technique® -  Break down that old scar tissue and get back to doing what you love!

The Graston Technique®, originally developed by athletes, is an innovative, evidence-based form of instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization that enables clinicians to effectively break down scar tissue and fascial adhesions. The technique utilizes specially designed stainless steel instruments to specifically detect and effectively treat areas exhibiting soft tissue fibrosis or chronic inflammation. This technique can improve flexibility and movement back into the body, muscles and joints.

The Graston Technique® offers the patient:

  • A decrease in overall time of treatment.
  • Reduced rehabilitation/recovery time post competition.
  • Reduces need for anti-inflammatory medication.
  • Resolves chronic conditions once thought to be permanent.

The Technique:

  • Separates and breaks down collagen cross-links, and splays and stretches connective tissue and muscle fibers
  • Increases skin temperature
  • Facilitates reflex changes in the chronic muscle holding pattern
  • Alters spinal reflex activity (facilitated segment)
  • Increases the rate and amount of blood flow to and from the area
  • Increases cellular activity in the region, including fibroblasts and mast cells
  • Increases histamine response secondary to mast cell activity
